Mike is a brand strategist and writer at Catapult Thinking, drawing on his background in communications and information design to articulate design strategy and convey complex ideas simply. Mike integrates his creative writing skills into the organization and presentation of research findings and strategy recommendations to bring insights to life through conceptual models, user scenarios and brand storytelling. He also leads Catapult Thinking naming and nomenclature teams that create verbal branding identities. Prior to co-founding Catapult Thinking in 1998, Mike was a vice president at Fitch in Boston, where he worked for nine years, serving for the last five as Director of Information Design. During his tenure at Fitch, Mike worked with Disney, Blockbuster, JBL, Infinity, harman/kardon, Steelcase, GE Plastics, Mallinckrodt and Masco. Mike also worked for two years at RichardsonSmith in Columbus prior its acquisition by Fitch, and spent four years as an advertising coordinator and creative strategist for the marketing group of CompuServe Incorporated, serving its Consumer Information Services and Commercial Services groups. Mike has a B.A. and M.A. in Communications from Ohio State University.
